Chapter Eighteen
“So that’s Real, huh?” Phil asked Drama as they exited the pizza place in Kings Dominion. The place was crowded, so he was hoping the kid didn’t notice him throughout the throng of patrons.
“Yeah, that’s him. Surprised he ain’t seen us. Bitch don’t miss shit.” Drama said angered at the sight of Real. He prided himself with intelligence and moved illusively. People fell for his antics all the time, so when Real recognized him; Drama immediately went in his competitive mode. Before Real, there was only one other kid who he knew kept up with him, and Drama still to this day anticipated a war with him. However, Real would get it first.
Phil signaled for Drama to follow him. “C’mon. I know he’s not alone, and if them wild young nigga he be with see us they might start shooting. Bitches ain’t like us. We got class. Can’t be shooting in public places.”
As soon as they made their way towards their vehicle, Drama’s eyes locked with Fresh’s. Through the sprinkle of patrons they stared each other down.
“They just spotted us, Unk. We gotta get strapped.” Drama said as they both rushed to the parking lot. They choose to go in the opposite direction of where Fresh and the rest of the crew stood. Moving fast through the crowds of people they desperately tried to escape without incident.
They did not move fast enough.

They saw Drama, and the big man trying to flee, but Fresh and Lune were on them.
Fresh yelled to Real. “Y’all go ahead and bounce. We on this nigga!”
He and Lune already knew which way to go in order to cut them off. They just had to move fast enough to get to their weapons. When they reached the parking lot, the graveled space was crowded with men and women who chose to sneak and smoke weed outside the premises. Other people were out there selling tickets at a discount rate and some were coming or leaving the amusement park. Lune and Fresh moved through it all with caution. They wanted to handle the business at hand, but did not want go to jail for it. They didn’t know if Drama had beaten them to the parking lot or not, so they kept their eyes open.
They had finally reached their car. “You see them?” Lune asked Fresh, who already had his gun in hand.
“Man, I don’t see shit.” Fresh said, staring through the parking lot. Dusk was approaching, which played in their favor. Police was not around, and to the brothers that was surprising.
Gun in hand, Lune asked. “That big dude was Phil?”
“Had to be.” Fresh said, still looking.
Scanning the parking lot he took in how everyone was having fun. People were oblivious to what he and is brother were about to do.
“That’s them!” Lune yelled as he pointed to a smoke grey BMW that was blocked in by traffic.
The driver noticed them and frantically started blowing his horn.
It was too late. They had already opened fire.
